FAQ: 1) Are the models available in printed format or on a cd? |
| |
No. Since they are in a digital format only, the models can be priced lower and accessed faster by a buyer once payment is received. |
| 2) How do I purchase/download the models? |
| |
A convenient PayPal shopping cart is provided. Once you are ready to buy you will be directed through the steps to complete the transaction and acquire your model(s) by digital download. Personal Canadian checks and International Money Orders are also welcome - please include your email address with the list of models you wish to order!

| 3) What is a PDF - can my computer read it? |
| |
Portable Document Format files are the current standard for sending compressed digital data that can be read by most computers regardless of their OS (operating system) whether it be Windows, Mac, etc. You do, however, need the latest free version of a PDF reader available at:

| 4) What is the best printer to use? |
| |
While any good color inkjet printer is up to the task of producing acceptable quality models, I would highly recommend a color laser to really bring out the vivid colors of the model designs (which is why I get all my copies done at the local Staples outlet). As a matter of fact, you may not even have to own a printer as the files could be saved and printed out at a quality local printing service!

5) I want to get both N and Z scale versions of a model
– do I have to order each separately? |
| |
No. Every model design has both N and Z scale versions included with each order. |
| 6) What is the best paper to use? |
| |
I use 110 lb. cardstock which is available at many office supply outlets, etc. You can use lighter cardstock, but I would highly recommend the 110 lb. thickness. |
| 7) Do I need any special tools or glue? |
| |
Not really. The following items I would include in a starter kit (all available at deep discount stores):
Small hobby knife / Steel ruler / Paper glue
Plastic cutting mat / Tweezers / Toothpicks |
8) How many copies of each model can I print out
- can I share them?
|
| |
You can print out each model as many times as you wish! However, you cannot share or sell any of the model designs or accompanying files due to copyright law!!!
|
| 9) Do you offer a money back guarantee?
|
| |
Yes! PAPERBEAM has a 60 days money back guarantee (to date, not a single customer has requested a refund)!
|
| 10) Where can I learn more about paper/card modeling? |
| |
There are many resources on the internet to read more about this fascinating hobby. A good place to start would be at www.cardmodels.net which is free to join, offers a wealth of information, and also the opportunity to contact many paper/card modelers worldwide! |
